The People's Consultants Human Rights program has two important wins to share:

Nazeela Elmi, whom TPC supported to get her MA in Human Rights Studies at Columbia University.  She graduated last fall and is now working as a resident fellow in the Afghan Policy Lab at Princeton University's Afghan Policy Lab.  Recently, she also accepted a part-time position as a fellow at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, where she will be conducting research under the mentorship of Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan.

TPC's Human Rights Program is also proud to announce that we are supporting Dr. Khaleda xxx (last name withheld for personal security reasons) in a graduate program at the University of Essex.  An Afghan-trained obstetrician/gynaecologist, Khaleda was forced to leave her work as a doctor in a women's health clinic in rural Afghanistan when the Taliban issued a death threat.  She is now studying for Masters in Public Health, and hopes to return to a career in women's health after graduation.
